Dimitar Gorchakov

Dimitar Gorchakov is a Bulgarian jazz pianist born in Sofia. After completing his musical education with classical music at the Sofia Music School and jazz piano at the NMA, he chose to take paths that were not included in his training as a performer. Improvisation has always been part of his perception of the world, and this desire to express himself freely through music was preserved into adulthood when he participates in a number of projects related to improvisational theater, dubbing silent films, music performance, music of the moment, experimental electronic projects, traditional jazz, folk music, etc. With some of them he traveled actively in North, South America, Europe and the Scandinavian Peninsula. His latest creative ideas are related to mixing photography and music, with the active participation of the audience, and in 2021 he will release his debut album for solo piano.
